Yong Xiong, AssistantProfessor of Department of MolecularBiophysics and Biochemistry, Yale University; 1990-1994, ModernApplied Physics Department, Tsinghua University; 1994-2000, Ph.D. in Biophysicswith Dr. Muttaiya Sundaralingam, The Ohio State University; 2000-2001, PostdoctoralAssociate with Dr. Muttaiya Sundaralingam, Chemistry Department, The Ohio StateUniversity; 2001-2006, Postdoctoral Associate with Dr. Thomas Steitz,Department of Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry, Yale University; 2006-2011, Assistant Professor of MolecularBiophysics and Biochemistry, Yale University;2011 to present, Associate Professor of MolecularBiophysics and Biochemistry, Yale University.

His laboratory studies hostimmune responses to viral infections and cellualr DNA repair pathways. They usea variety of techniques, including X-ray crystallography, electron microscopy,biochemistry, and computational biology. They also develop new structural biologymethods.
